Your donation helps The Mooring provide emotional and practical care to families of patients in Intensive Care.
Most families arrive at the Gold Coast University Hospital from interstate or regional areas with no local support, in unfamiliar places and in a state of anxiety.
The Mooring come alongside families to provide accommodation and “wrap around care” to meet their needs for practical and emotional support.
Supporting families through their darkest days.
Every family receives a Family Support Volunteer that walks alongside for their entire stay at GCUH. Additionally, practical assistance includes accommodation, care packs, meals, transport, Go-Cards, vouchers for petrol and groceries as well as information about local facilities and services. We invite you to partner with us in supporting these families through their toughest times.
